Come to Teach Us.
They also come to bring love.
If we are open and soft and flexible.
Even if we are not willing to bend and surrender by the end of pregnancy, we mostly are by the end of labor. Sometimes I ask myself if that is why birthing takes so long. The love babies bring often bends and stretches our hearts. Even our wills. Some people may call it twisted, and feel twisted. But they usually come around and become soft and carefree by the time their baby is a couple months old. When baby starts to giggle. Then they will share belly laughs together. And deep deep joy.
Babies! What a blessing!
Babies come to teach us.
“If we are to heal the planet, we must begin by healing birthing.” -Agnes Sallet von Tannenberg
